My first two boxes have finally arrived after being on the sea for almost three months, which are longer than the 6-8 weeks estimated by the Hong Kong Post.
I’m in no hurry to open these boxes though. I don’t need the books and sketchbooks in them at the moment and I’m hoping I can move to another flat soon. Fingers crossed that we will find an appropriate accommodation.

Lots of music going on in Otley this weekend. And two of the new friends I have here, Andy and Burny, are musicians. I went to their live performance at the Rookery last night and I enjoyed them a lot. I don’t know how to describe music in words but I can tell you I enjoyed it a lot despite the fact that I knew only one of the songs they sang. I think not knowing the song (and therefore I was unable to sing/hum along) and yet I still found myself moving my body, listening attentively — these were sure signs that I did enjoy it.
Live music has its magic. There is a Cantopop singer called Hacken Lee who is renowned for singing live exactly like his CD recordings. But that’s not the kind of singing that moves me. I prefer the unpredictable, the accidental, and the unrepeatable sparks that happen in a live performance. And that includes what we may consider as “mistakes”.
Uncle Tall, thank you for introducing your musical friends to me and bringing me to the show. And I enjoyed “dancing” with you after the show with Andy DJing. The dancing is in quotation marks because I am not quite sure my Bon Bon-style rabbit dancing could qualify as dancing.
My Buy Me A Coffee Page is here.
Love reading your post Bon Bon!
Thanks a lot. It’s important to know there are people reading my blog.
